This is the night of many stars, but there is one little star with a big voice that shined. Charice shocked the unsuspecting audience with her powerful rendition of Whitney Houston’s Bodyguard Medley. From the first line of the song, the audience were clearly hooked as they were captured by Charice’s stage presence. So much that the audience were cheering and pushing her till the last note. One member of the audience shouted “home run!” before the final binge of I Will Always Love You. which tells a lot on what the audience felt at that moment.

If nothing else, Charice earned a standing ovation, perhaps the grandest and most dramatic ovation that she receieved so far. “A star is born tonight,” David Foster bellowed.
