Boston Herald – Internet sensation Charise Pempengo, the little 16-year-old Filipino girl with the very big voice, says nearly all her dreams have come true, save one – she’s dying to sing a duet with Whitney Houston.

Well, considering she’s already crooned with Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, Michael Buble and Alicia Keys, it’s totally not out of the question!

“I saw she sang at the Grammys,” Charise told the Track. “I hope that she is OK and can sing with me someday. I always listened to her songs when I was little.”

The young diva was in town to perform at the opening of the new Newbury Street coffee shop Nespresso Boston yesterday.

“My manager called and said I was going to perform at the opening and I was very, very excited. It’s my first time in Boston. It’s windy and I see a little snow!”

Willie likened this performance to Celine’s christening of Charice in Madison Square Garden. Charice made the dreams of six fans come true when she shared the same stage with them. Charice sings Fantasia Barrino’s I believe at one of the biggest charity events in the Philippines. With the Filipino maestro Ryan Cayabyab leading the orchestra, Charice delivered the most powerful rendition of I Believe. Notice how she handles the high notes in the end. Stunning indeed.
